It was founded by Julia Horton-Powdrill (Reallywildjulia) who ha s lived in Wales all her life and has always been passionate about its cou ntryside. She had a dream about putting on a Festival to celebrate it and on moving from South East Wales to Pembrokeshire she decided that St David s would be a perfect place to realise that vision.\nOver the last 7 years the Festival has expanded and developed the aspects of countryside activit ies and skills that reflect what is available locally. It also allows visi tors to the festival to sample and enjoy produce that has originated\, spe cifically\, from the natural countryside of Wales - indeed\, all stall-hol ders must prove the source of their produce to the Festival organisers\, p rior to their allocation of space.\nEach year the event has attracted more exhibitors and more visitors. It has always been important to include fam iliar faces from the previous years but also to introduce new ideas\, supp liers\, demonstrators and mini events.\nThe Festival is run by a CIC (Comm unity Interest Company) which is a limited company with special additional features\, created for the use of people who want to conduct a business o r other activity for community benefit\, and not for private advantage.
